01-08-2018 - Steel Fell, Calf Crag, Gibson Knott and Helm Crag with Alison, Joe, Ana and Jack. |

We planned to do the Fairfield Horseshoe today to get everybody eight Wainwrights but the weather forecast indicated a high chance of rain so we thought this lower level walk offering 4 Wainwrights might be a better option. I was only here about a month ago so at least I was able to remember the route, more or less. From about half way round we had a lot of rain and by the time we arrived back at the car at Town End Farm we were all well soaked again but incredibly cheerful. Everybody felt a real sense of satisfaction and achievement. Ana and Jack have now completed 22 Wainwrights - fantastic!! |
