10/07/2007 - Black Sails and Wetherlam with Paul D.

The weather was not as good as it had been for the previous day's trek over Whiteside and Hopegill Head. It was mostly grey and murky with the sun well hidden by cloud throughout the walk. At least there was no rain. We followed the path through Coppermines Valley to Swirl Hause via Levers Water and visited the summit of Black Sails on our way to Wetherlam. We enjoyed a fine couple of pints of Hawkshead bitter at The Sun Hotel in Coniston after the walk.
