06 07 2008 - Hallin Fell with Paul D

This was another very wet and dull day with not much prospect of any good views from the fell tops but since it was the last day of our extended weekend trip we had to have something to remember it by. The walk up Hallin Fell from St Peter's church is short and easy and would have offered excellent views of Ullswater on a day with better weather. We sheltered briefly in the the shadow of the obelisk at the summit and then strolled back down - at least it was another 'Wainwright' even if it left us wringing wet.
