10 02 2008 - Seathwaite Fell |

I parked at the side of the road at the head of the Seathwaite valley and took the path through the farm towards Stockley Bridge. From the bridge the path climbs up and eventually follows Styhead Gill towards the tarn. Well before reaching the tarn a suitable route needs to be negotiated up the fell through Aaron Crags or thereabouts. I could see no obvious path but it wasn't difficult to find a safe passage to Wainwright's (northern) top at 1971ft and then on to the higher summit at 2073ft. It was a warm sunny day with little wind - a day made for walking! |
