Next Walk

    26 07 2005 - Blencathra with Joe and Paul D (and Meg)

We started from Scales, parking in the lay-by near the White Horse Inn. The path onto Scales Fell can be found a couple of hundred yards along the road towards Keswick in a gap between the houses. We climbed gradually to about 2000' and then dropped down for a view of the tarn. The summit was quite busy with a cold breeze blowing and although there were some high dark clouds the views were generally good. We descended via Doddick Fell and rounded off the day with a couple of pints at the Mill Inn, Mungrisdale.
