Next Walk

14-01-2009 - Kentmere Pike, Goat Scar and Shipman Knotts  with Paul D.

The weather forecast promised us sunny periods and an 80% chance of cloud free tops but these were empty promises. It was a dull, cloudy day with poor visibility and no views at all from the fell tops. To make matters worse I discovered at the start of the walk that my digital camera's battery was completely dead. The photographs shown here were taken with my 2 megapixel mobile phone camera and are not too bad considering. We did of course still manage to enjoy the walk despite the drawbacks and finished the day with a couple of very satisfying pints at the Duke William in Staveley.
