19/04/2006 - Thunacar Knott, High Raise, Sergeant Man and Pavey Ark with Paul W. The weather forecast had not been promising but in the event, apart from a few flakes of snow at one point, it was a mild, often sunny day. Clouds kept high throughout the walk and we had clear, exhilarating views in all directions. We started from the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel and took in Thunacar Knott, High Raise, Sergeant Man and Pavey Ark before dropping back down to our starting point via Stickle Tarn. A memorable walk was rounded off with superb pint of Thwaites' bitter at the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel-excellent!
