Walk first completed August 1987 with Richard. It was a warm, bright but cloudy day as we set off from Wasdale Head. We joined the path that climbs up Lingmell Gill and over Brown Tongue. It was hard work. Just before reaching Mickledore we cut across the top of the screes to reach the foot of Lord's Rake. I seem to remember Lord's Rake being very busy and the rocks were a little slippery under foot. There were one or two slightly hairy moments but the views were spectacular and well worth the effort. The summit was spoiled a little by mist but the climb was memorable. We took an easy route down over the grassy slopes towards Green How, before reaching Lingmell Gill again and then on to Wasdale Head.
